Earlier this month my husband and I traveled to Manitoba, Canada: we started out in Winnipeg and then took Via Rail to Churchill (located right on the Hudson Bay), stayed in Churchill for a few days, and then returned to Winnipeg. For us this trip was more about train travel and visiting Churchill than about beer, but whenever I had the opportunity to try a Canadian beer--especially one that is difficult to get in the Midwest--I jumped at the chance. Below is a short overview of each Canadian brew I was able to enjoy during my vacation.
Above are the beers I enjoyed in Churchill, either at the Tundra Pub or the Tundra Inn.
Beers enjoyed at Barley Brothers in Winnipeg, MB
Beers enjoyed at The Palm Lounge (in the Fort Garry Hotel) in Winnipeg, MB
Beers enjoyed at The Tundra Pub in Churchill, MB
Beers purchased at the Liquor Mart and enjoyed at The Tundra Inn in Churchill, MB
A self-appointed beer nerd, Girl with Beer finds herself exploring new, local, rare, and new-to-her beers. Cheers.
